The books work for children ages 3–8. There are 3 reading levels, from simple sentences for preschool up to multi-paragraph stories for grades 2–3. Each level adjusts vocabulary, sentence length, and story complexity. You pick the level during setup.

No account needed to start. You can begin right away and your progress saves automatically in your browser. If you want to access your story from another device or save it long-term, a free account syncs everything to the cloud, start on your phone, finish on a computer.

Any drawing works: crayon, marker, pencil, watercolor, or a photo of something 3D they built or made. The AI works with all styles and skill levels. Files should be under 10MB in JPEG, PNG, or GIF format.

Yes. Upload the photo just like a drawing, and the AI turns the creation into the story's main character. Shoot it from the front against a plain background.

Messy drawings work fine. The AI is built for kids' art at any skill level, scribbles included. If the result isn't quite right, add a short description of what the drawing is meant to be (like 'this is a purple dragon with wings') and regenerate. You can keep adjusting until it looks the way you want.

Yes. During setup you pick from 3 reading levels. All books are 30 pages. Level 1 (preschool, ages 3–4) uses simple sentences. Level 2 (early readers, ages 5–6) adds more vocabulary and sentence variety. Level 3 (independent readers, ages 7–8) uses paragraphs with more complex vocabulary. The AI adjusts everything based on the level you pick.

Yes. The AI writes a first draft, and every word is yours to change. Rewrite the title and any line on any page, add family names and inside jokes, or rework whole pages with your child so it reads the way they would tell it. If the character design isn't right, describe what you want changed and the AI will try again. You stay in control throughout.

Regenerate as many times as you need. Give the AI specific feedback, 'make the hair curlier,' 'add glasses,' 'change the color to blue', and it will create a new version. You can also edit the character description directly to get the look you're after.

Each book is built around one main character from one drawing. You can mention siblings or other characters in the story by editing the text after generation, or make a separate book for each child. Multi-character stories are something we're working on.

The Activity Kit turns the AI character into a printable craft activity, free as a PDF download. There are four options: Coloring Page (black and white scene to color in), Paper Doll (cut-out character with outfits), Sticker Sheet (multiple stickers on one sheet), or Face Mask (wearable character mask). Just scissors and paper.

No payment and no account needed. Upload the drawing, go through the character creation step (about a minute), then pick an Activity Kit option. We may ask for your email before the download to send you the file.

Yes, and it's the logical next step. The character is already created, just select Storybook from the creation hub and you go straight into story generation without re-uploading anything.

The creation process takes 3-5 minutes. Digital books are available to download right after. Physical books are printed on demand and ship to the US and Canada. Production takes 1–3 days, then 3–7 days delivery. Total arrival time is 4–10 days. You'll get tracking info by email and can check status in your account.

English only right now. We're working on Spanish, French, and others. If your child doesn't read English yet, you can still use the service, create the book together and read it aloud to them.

No limit. Each child's artwork can become a different story, which makes it popular for siblings, classrooms, or as a recurring tradition, a new book each year from that year's drawing.

Yes. If you need a physical book for a specific date, order at least 2 weeks out to allow for production and delivery. For last-minute gifts, the digital version downloads right after purchase.
